The King's Coronation, May 2023 

We are looking forward to celebrating the Coronation of King Charles III along with the rest of the nation on Saturday 6th May 2023. Here are the activities that our church is involved with over the Coronation weekend:

Send May Fair - Monday 8th May, 12pm - 3pm
 

Our annual village May Fair is due to be held on the Coronation Bank Holiday Monday 8th May, from 12pm - 3pm, on Send Recreation Ground. Send EC will have a stand where we will have a children's activity - decorating crown cookies - and a selection of Christian literature for you to browse. We would love to see you so please do come and connect with us!
 

All Souls Prom Praise - Saturday 6th May, 7pm - 10pm

On the evening of the Coronation, Saturday 6th May, we will be broadcasting at church the music from the All Souls Prom Praise, which this year is entitled 'The Coronation Prom: King of Kings'. Held at the Albert Hall, the livestream is being made available to any church around the world that would like to throw a 'Coronation Prom Party', so it is a wonderful opportunity for us in Send to celebrate this special occasion together.

Drawing on the rich historical tradition of Coronation music, the massed choir and orchestra will perform royal anthems and overtures by Elgar, Holst, Handel and John Williams.

The event will run from 7pm to 10pm in our church hall and will include special drinks and canapés. We would love for you to join us to enjoy this concert together. Book your space using the form below:
