Women’s Ministry

rooted (2)
"Therefore, as you received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in him, rooted and built up in him and established in the faith, just as you were taught, abounding in thanksgiving."
Colossians 2: 6-7

We hold a weekly ladies prayer meeting at 10am on Fridays, where we pray for one another and for the church. This meets at the homes of various church members.

In addition to this we run monthly ladies fellowship meetings throughout the year, with the aim of building relationships and spurring one another on in our Christian faith. The program is varied and we love getting suggestions for activities you would like to do! We usually meet on the third Saturday of each month.

The dates for the coming months are:

Saturday 21st January 2023, 3pm - 5pm, church hall. This month we'll be doing a little introspection and looking at different temperaments - the strengths and weaknesses of each, but more so how God can use us in different ways to build His kingdom and grow in His ways. We will meet over tea / coffee and cake. We would love for you to join us.

Saturday 18th February 2023, 9am, Pinnocks Coffee Shop, Ripley. Join us for a relaxed coffee / breakfast together from 9am.

Saturday 18th March 2023, 3pm - 5pm, church hall. This month we will be looking together at the topic of 'Extraordinary Hospitality for Ordinary People' (based on a book by Carolyn Lacey).

Saturday 22nd April, 10am - 11.30am, Wisley Gardens
A short walk to the glasshouse to see the beautiful tulips that have been planted this year. Those who wish to stay longer can catch up over a hot drink at one of the coffee shops or enjoy exploring.

Saturday 20th May, 9am - 10.30am, church hall. Join us for coffee, tea and croissants and a time of encouragement from the Bible.

Our ladies fellowship events normally include a time of Bible encouragement / study together. Some of the social-focussed events that we've done in the last year are an afternoon tea, coffee shop visits, a trip to Wisley gardens, a games evening, a book review morning and cupcake decorating. A key date in our calendar is our annual Stir Up Saturday outreach event, where we make Christmas puddings together.
