Women’s Ministry

rooted (2)

"Therefore, as you received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in him, rooted and built up in him and established in the faith, just as you were taught, abounding in thanksgiving."
Colossians 2: 6-7

We hold a weekly ladies prayer meeting at 10am on Fridays, as well as a fortnightly evening ladies prayer meeting on Tuesday evenings at 7.30pm where we pray for one another and for the church. These groups both meet at the homes of various church members and are a valuable source of support amongst our women.

In addition to this we run monthly ladies fellowship meetings throughout the year, with the aim of building relationships and spurring one another on in our Christian faith. The program is varied and we love getting suggestions for activities you would like to do! We usually meet on the third Saturday of each month.

Our ladies fellowship events normally include a time of Bible encouragement / study together. Some of the social-focussed events that we've done in the last year are an afternoon tea, coffee shop visits, a trip to Wisley gardens, a games evening, a book review morning and cupcake decorating. A key date in our calendar is our annual Stir Up Saturday outreach event, where we make Christmas puddings together.

This year we will be starting a course called Inside Out which looks at spiritual formation - making ourselves more available and open to God to enable Him to transform us to the image of Christ as He has promised. This is a 6 part course which we aim to run every other month to allow for a variety of other gatherings through the year.

The first session will be held on Saturday 27th January and will be a breakfast session from 8.30am for a 9am start. Do be inviting any other Christian women who you feel would be interested in joining us.

Our second session will be held on Saturday 23rd March at the same time.
