What do we do on Wednesday nights?

Jesus’ followers were called “disciples” which means “learners” or “followers”. On Wednesdays we are learning more how to be followers of Jesus. One of the things a follower needs to do is express his/her dependence on God through prayer. We need to pray together to encourage one another and motivate one another. Even though god is all powerful, the method he employs is to respond to prayer. So, on Wednesday evenings we gather to train and to pray. Sometimes we do this in the Chruch building so we can all be together and sometimes we meet in people’s homes near where people live in Send, Woking and Byfleet. Being in homes is less formal and sometimes a better place to ask questions. Our prayer usually springs out of what we read in the Bible and what we study together.

Currently in our home group studies we are doing ‘The Prodigal God’ series. This involves watching a DVD and then discussing questions afterwards. If you want question book/sheets contact Adrian Grilli or if you want ‘The Prodigal God’ book then follow this link to Amazon to buy your own copy.
